JUDGES WILL EVALUATE PARTICIPANTS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING:
ELIGIBILITY
- Open to all ages. Participants under 18 must have parental consent.
- Original characters, adaptations, and fan art costumes are welcome.
COSTUME REQUIREMENTS
- Costumes must be primarily handmade or significantly altered. Store-bought costumes should include modifications for originality.
- All costumes must be family-friendly and appropriate for all audiences.
PROP REGULATIONS
- Props must be safe and non-threatening. No real weapons or sharp objects are allowed.
- All props must be inspected by convention staff prior to the competition.
JUDGING CRITERIA
- Costumes will be judged based on craftsmanship, originality, and overall presentation.
- Judges may consider performance aspects during the presentation, including character portrayal and stage presence.
PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
- Each participant will have a limited time (e.g., 30 seconds to 1 minute) for their stage presentation.
- Participants should prepare a brief introduction of their character and costume.
GROUP ENTRIES
- Group entries are allowed but must register as a single entry. Each member should contribute to the costume.
REGISTRATION
- All participants must register in advance. On-site registration may not be available.
- Clear images of your costume must be submitted during registration for pre-judging.
DISQUALIFICATION
- Participants may be disqualified for inappropriate behavior, rule violations, or failure to comply with safety regulations.
MEDIA
- By participating, you consent to being photographed and filmed for promotional purposes.
- Personal photography is allowed during the competition, but please be respectful of the audience and participants.
